A 34-year-old man from Colchester has died following a collision on Beach Road, St Osyth last night (Wednesday September 30).
A Kawasaki motorcycle with a rider and pillion passenger was involved in the collision between the village of St Osyth and Seawick holiday park just before 7pm.
Officers and the ambulance service attended and two men were taken to hospital. A short time later a man, believed to be the passenger, died.
The rider of the bike, a 36-year-old man from Colchester remains in hospital with serious injuries.
The road was closed for around five hours to allow forensic collision work to be carried out.
