Ice Hockey – Chelmsford Chieftains lost 4-3 at Streatham Redskins in their last South-East Cup game of the season.
But the Chieftains have been so dominant in the round-robin competition this season the cup was already won and tucked away safely in their trophy cabinet a month ago.
After the win over Solent on Saturday keeping them ten points clear of the chasing pack with just six games remaining, the league championship is there for the taking.
Next weekend, Chieftains are in NIHL cup semi-final action where they face Wightlink Raiders, away, on Saturday.
The 2nd leg is at Riverside on Sunday.
