A man from Witham has been jailed for eight years for violent offences in Braintree and Witham town centres.
Carter Adams, 21, of St Nicholas Close, Witham, appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court yesterday (Monday, February 29) where he was jailed by Judge Goldstaub following guilty pleas to two counts of GBH with intent, one count of ABH and three counts of common assault.
The first incident happened on October 12, 2014, at Bar Sport in Braintree High Street, where three men were assaulted in an unprovoked attack and taken to hospital with head and facial injuries.
A 26-year-old man from Witham is awaiting trial in respect of this incident.
The second incident happened on March 13, 2015, outside a nightspot called Shot on Collingwood Road, where Adams was one of a group of three who assaulted three men in another unprovoked attack. One victim suffered serious injuries.
Two other men, Danny Spires, 33, and Connor Bell, 20, both from Witham, previously pleaded guilty to common assault and were given conditional discharges by the courts.
