Ten cars have been seized by police during a road safety operaiton in Basildon.
23 vehicles were found with no valid MOT and a number of others had defects.
66 people weren’t wearing seatbelts.
Nine drivers were issued penalty tickets for using a mobile phone
Officers form the Roads Policing Team were at East Mayne and Great Oaks with motorbikes and an ANPR van patrolling the local area.
The operation is part of a series of operations across the county to help reduce motoring offences and detect criminals on the county’s roads.
