A man has been found guilty of attempting to murder a woman in Colchester and seriously wounding another.
Roy Hensley, 47, of no fixed address, stood trial at Chelmsford Crown Court where he was found guilty of attempted murder as well as GBH with intent relating to an incident on January 12 where two women were stabbed.
Hensley had previously admitted two counts of GBH but the jury decided he was guilty of the more serious offences.
He was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
The women were assaulted in Kerry Court, Colchester, at around 10.20pm.
One of the women, aged in her 50 suffered serious injuries and was in a critical condition in hospital following the assault.
