Police have arrested a second person for breaching the anonymity of a rape victim as part of their enquiries around a man who absconded from Southend Crown Court after being convicted.
The 18-year-old man from Southend was arrested yesterday and taken to Southend Police Station for questioning before being released on police bail until Tuesday May 17.
A 21-year-old woman from Southend who was also arrested on suspicion of breaching the anonymity of a rape victim is on police bail until May 19.
The search for Adrian Horwat, who fled from Southend Crown Court on Monday March 14, prior to his sentencing for a rape conviction is continuing.
