An elderly man’s died after a crash near Clacton.
The victim, in his 70s, was the driver of a Ford Focus involved in a collison with another car on the A133 at Weeley.
The occupants of a Kia, a man and a woman aged in their 60s, both suffered serious injuries and were air lifted to Addenbrooke s Hospital in Cambridge where the man s condition is described as life threatening.

Three women in the Nissan have been taken to hospital. One is in a life-threatening condition in The Royal London Hospital.
The other two women have been taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow with serious injuries. A dog was also rescued from the car and is being cared for by the RSPCA.
A 61-year-old man from Telford has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving under the influence of drink or drugs and is currently in custody.
