Detectives are appealing for witnesses to an incident in which a pizza delivery driver was robbed by a group of men armed with weapons.
The victim, a 32-year-old man, was making a delivery in St Stephen’s Crescent, Brentwood, at 2.55am today, Saturday April 2.
A group of seven or eight men wearing dark hooded tops with the hoods appeared from an alleyway. Three had hammers and one had what appeared to be a gun.
The Papa John’s driver was threatened and robbed of a three figure sum of cash and a quantity of pizzas.
Police carried out a search of the area and enquiries are ongoing to locate the suspects.
The victim was left shaken but unhurt.
