An Essex veteran is being painted to look invisible outside the Houses of Parliament in London today as part of a new campaign.
39 year old Darren Fuller from Colchester, served 20 years in the Army, in 2nd Battalion The
During this time he completed tours to Northern Ireland, Macedonia, Iraq and Afghanistan. Darren was injured in Afghanistan in April 2008, losing his lower right arm, and was medically discharged in 2014.
After receiving support from The Royal British Legion, he now works for the organisation as the Community Fundraiser for Essex.
The RBL says today’s stunt will raise awareness of the armed forces community not being adequately accounted for in the UK Census.
It wants questions for those no longer serving and family members to be included in the 2021 questionnaire.
