A man has been jailed for life to serve a minimum of 21 years for murdering a father in Pitsea.
Darren Kelly was stabbed after being lured to Caister Drive on October 20 last year.
Members of the public gave him first aid before paramedics and an air ambulance arrived but the 42-year-old father of Voysey Gardens, Pitsea, later died from his injuries at Basildon Hospital.
Chris Carroll, 20, of Pevensey Close, Pitsea, was convicted of murder yesterday Tuesday May 17, following a six-week trial at Chelmsford Crown Court.
He was jailed today at Chelmsford Crown Court.
