The trust which runs ambulance services in Essex says it’s dealing with a significant increase in demand.
The bank holiday weekend was the latest difficult period for the service.
The East of England Ambulance Service says it saw a 12% increase in calls over the long weekend – compared to the previous year.
High priority 999 calls in April were up 22% from the same month in 2015.
Co-response units – working with the Fire Service – are helping figures relating to life-threatening situations.
