Essex Police chiefs have responded to a College of Policing report – revealing a high number of officers have been placed on the Disapproved Register.
The analysis – released today – shows 41 officers in the county are on the list – with the majority reported by colleagues.
Roger Hirst – Police and Crime Commissioner for Essex – says transparency is key – and the findings are welcomed.
He also says he’s confident the Chief Constable’s team will change behaviours such as abuse of authority.
Deputy Chief Matthew Horne adds that only the highest standards will maintain public confidence.
