The London Taxidrivers Fund is holding its annual charity outing to Southend today.
The traditional event sees hundreds of deserving children taken to the coast in a convoy of cabs.
They set off from Chingford around 9.30am and should arrive in Southend about midday.
They’ll go down Chalkwell Avenue straight down to the sea front (if dry) and park in Shorefield Cark, before going into the Cliffs Pavilion for lunch.
The children are then ferried down to Adventure Island and return at 4.30pm to the Cliffs Pavilion for a tea and disco, when the Mayor of Southend will join them
