Police were called at about 3.30am on Sunday, September 4 after reports of an altercation outside the William Aylmer pub in Kitson Way, Harlow.
Two men, who are both Polish, were attacked by a group of men. Officers are treating this as a potential hate crime.

The second man, a 32-year-old from Harlow, intervened and was punched. He suffered a broken nose.
Both victims were treated at Princess Alexandra Hospital and later discharged.
Detective Sergeant Natalie Rooney, of Harlow CID, said: “We are now in a position to release CCTV images of four men we want to speak to in connection with this investigation.
“I would appeal for anyone who recognises them to please contact us.
“I am also continuing to appeal for any witnesses who have yet to come forward, particularly
from someone who may have filmed the incident on his mobile phone.
