Police are appealing for witnesses following an aggravated burglary in Pitsea.
Officers were called just after 9.20pm on Friday October 28 to reports someone had broken into a property in Church Park Road.
The victim, a woman in her 40s, said a man forced his way in through the front door, entered the lounge and approached her carrying what is believed to be a screwdriver.
The man did not say anything and then left the address.
Nothing was taken and the victim was left unhurt.
He is described as white, in his 40s, of slim build and average height, with short, sandy blonde hair and short stubble.
He was wearing a plain navy blue zip-up hooded top and blue jeans.
