South Essex rail operator c2c has published its new timetable for next year.
The company came in for massive criticism for this year’s amendments and made a numbe rof revisions.
In 2017, it’s promising faster journey times between stations in Southend and London, longer trains between stations in Thurrock and London as well as extra carriages for passengers at Basildon and Benfleet and more seats.
National Express says the new timetable is published as the first of it’s brand-new trains ran in passenger service for the first time.
Bosses say the new timetable, which comes into effect on 9 January, is designed to take full advantage of the 24 new carriages c2c is adding to its fleet.
The timetable, which has been developed in cooperation with local passenger groups, is intended to address the top priorities of passengers in different areas.
