Motorists are being warned to avoid part of the A127 in Essex this morning after a serious crash.
Police were called just before 02:10 this morning (16 November) to reports of a collision involving three lorries on the Southend-bound carriageway just before The Halfway House.
Debris from the collision was spread across both carriageways.
Three people were taken to hospital for treatment to injuries which were described as non-serious.
The road between Junction 29 of the M25 and The Halfway House remains closed while damage to the highway and to live power cables is repaired.
There is no access to the A127 from the B186 at Great Warley, Little Warley Hall Lane or Childerditch Lane. Motorists are asked to avoid the area this morning if possible as delays are likely to last for several hours.
