A teenager has been charged with manslaughter following the death of a man in Harlow.
Arkadiusz Jozwik, 40, was assaulted at about 11.35pm on Saturday, August 27 in The Stow.
He was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, and was later transferred to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, where he died on Monday evening, August 29.
The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised Essex Police to charge a 15-year-old boy from Harlow today, Thursday, December 1. The teenager cannot be named for legal reasons.
Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Danny Stoten, of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, said: “The Crown Prosecution Service has now authorised Essex Police to charge a teenager with manslaughter in connection with the death of Mr Jozwik.
“He is due to appear at Chelmsford Youth Court on January 6, 2017.”
