Police are appealing for information following an assault in Shoeburyness.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was approached by two men in Saxon Gardens at around 12.30pm on Tuesday, February 28.
One of the men then attacked him with what is believed to be a lock knife, leaving him with three cuts to the back of his head.
He required hospital treatment but is now recovering.
The first man is described as white, between 20 and 23 years-old, of slim build, around 5ft 8ins tall, with blonde hair swept to one side, wearing a grey hooded zip-up jacket, blue jeans and light coloured trainers.
The second man is described as white, between 23 and 25 years-old, with stubble, wearing a black woolly hat, a black ‘Nike’ jumper with the white tick symbol over the left breast, and black trainers.
It is not believed it was a random attack.
