Southend Airport has announced a new partnership with Air Malta.
The flag carrying airline of Malta will be operating three times weekly to the island. It will also fly to two Italian islands; there will be weekly flights to both Catania (the second largest city of Malta’s neighbour, Sicily) and Cagliari, the capital of Sardinia.
Glyn Jones (Chief Executive Officer of Stobart Aviation, owners of London Southend Airport) has told Radio Essex it’s an exciting time for the county.
“Air Malta is a really well established very well respected brand with a fantastic loyal customer base.”
