Crackdown on child sexual exploitation

Safeguarding Boards across Essex are marking Child Sexual Exploitation Awareness Day with a major online campaign.

Social Media will be the focus of this year’s coverage – with a week of content from today.

In particular online awareness will be highlighted – with digital presence in over sixty percent of cases in the county.

There’s a key element looking at targeting eight to thirteen year olds – as this is where mobile phones and the internet are often introduced.
