More than 20 people have been injured after a steam engine being carried on the back of a truck fell onto a bus in Essex.
The vehicles were involved in a collision in East Mersea just before ten o’clock this morning.
35 people were on the number 67 bus service at the time.
Six have been seriously injured including the driver.
The 44-year-old man from Colchester has been airlifted to the Royal London Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
16 other people suffed minor injuries.
A 51 year-old man from Great Yarmouth has been arrested – police are appealing for witnesses.
