It’s common knowledge that we are a nation of animal lovers, and two sisters from Manchester are planning to capitalise on that by opening Manchester’s first ever cat cafe next Spring.
Ellie and Sarah Close will open the eatery in the city’s trendy Northern Quarter, where cat lovers will be able to enjoy the company of the resident cats, and this is what Ellie told Manchester Evening News:
We want it to be warm comfy and a good place for stress relief. The cats will live there and will even have a cat nanny. Our cats are ridiculously needy so they like a lot of attention.
I bring them to work with me at the moment because they just want to be around people. They’ve all got different personalities so the Persian won’t play but loves to be stroked, while some of the others aren’t bothered about relaxing but just love playing.
For a small fee, the public can kick back and relax with snacks, unlimited drinks, free Wi-fi, computers, television, video games and, of course, cats.
They also have plans to open more cafes in Liverpool and Leeds!
We can’t wait, and if you are feeling generous, the girls are trying to raise £15,000 for cat climbing frames, bedding and water fountains. We wish them all the luck in their exciting venture!
