Our favourite sea critter is making a comeback in a film set to smash the box office out of the water when it hits cinemas in June 2016. Finding Dory is set 6 months after Nemo and his father were reunited, and lets us join Dory on a journey to find her parents.
Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we’ve got a new look into the characters who will be joining her, as well as the actors who’ll be voicing them.
Dory visits a rehabilitation center at a marine life facility where she meets beluga whale, Bailey, voiced by Modern Family‘s Ty Burrell and his pal Destiny, voiced by It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia‘s Kaitlin Olson.
Olson revealed a little about the duo’s dynamic:
We totally get on each other’s nerves. I like to think I’m a shark, but Bailey calls me a whale, and I make fun of his head, because it’s gigantic.
And Burrell sums up nicely what we can expect from the Pixar sequel:
There’s always a deeper message with Pixar, and so much of it is that these characters are trying to find faith in themselves. They’re trying to overcome their insecurities in order to help somebody in need.
We can’t wait!
