So it seems in 2016, you can be famous for being… well… famous. We’re not too sure how you gain celebrity status but apparently people get famous just for doing something funny on TV or by doing some odd stuff for attention.
Celebrity Big Brother is the kind of show you can claim to hate but can’t stop watching should you go to change the channel. No matter how much you protest it’s a load of rubbish, with people nobody really knows who are being paid too much money, you still can’t turn it off if you stumble across it.
Maybe you’ve wondered how much you could earn from Celebrity Big Brother if you ever got famous. Well, it turns out you can earn quite a bit for not really being that famous.
Liza Minnelli’s ex-husband, music producer David Gest is said to be getting paid a massive £600,000 to appear on the show.
There’s also Kim Kardashian’s best friend (which apparently makes them a celebrity) Jonathan Cheban is reportedly getting £300,000, whilst former EastEnders actress Daniella Westbrook is taking home £200,000.
Ex-Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Davis has apparently signed up for the show taking home a staggering £150,000, as well as Kristina Rihanoff from Strictly Come Dancing fame is getting a cheeky £100,000.
Former Towie star Gemma Collins and Nancy Dell’Olio are also rumored to be getting £100,00 each.
