Detectives working in the cold case unit at Essex Police are appealing for information to help solve a murder which happened 13 years ago.
Beverley Brinkley, aged 35, was viciously attacked by two men in the third floor lobby area of the flats where she lived in The Stow, Harlow, at about 7.45 pm on Sunday, February 2, 2003.
The assault left the mother of three daughters with serious head injuries, resulting in her death in Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, four days later.
The first suspect was described as white, fairly short, of stocky build, aged in his late 30s to early 40s, with dark wavy hair on top with a cropped style cut in to the back of the neck. He had dark piercing eyes and dark stubble.
The second was also white, younger than the first and with blond shaven hair. He was of stocky build with long legs.
Two anonymous letters were received by the investigation team following media coverage marking the first anniversary of Beverley’ s attack but the authors were never identified.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
