A man who was injured in a road traffic collision in Great Warley has died.
Police were contacted shortly after 6.50am on Wednesday February 24 with reports a Renault Scenic and a MAN truck had collided on the B186 Warley Street near the junction with the A127 Southend Arterial Road.
The Renault was travelling south towards Ockendon and the truck was travelling in the opposite direction.
The car driver, a man aged 36 from the Southend area, suffered multiple injuries and was taken to the Royal London Hospital, where he sadly died last week.
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses and are particularly keen to trace a moped rider, who stopped at the scene but unfortunately left before officers arrived. He had been travelling in the direction of Ockendon.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Sgt Tanya Gorbutt at the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
