A body has been found by coastguard and lifeboat teams searching for a kayaker missing after getting into trouble off the Essex coast.
The alarm was raised yesterday afternoon at Jaywick near Clacton.
Rescue units involved in the search were the Coastguard rescue helicopter from Lydd, Coastguard rescue teams from Clacton and Walton, Clacton RNLI lifeboat and police and ambulance.
Coastguard rescue officers recovered a body late last night.
The incident is one of a number around the UK.
On Saturday, a 54 year-old man died after he was caught in a rip-tide, north of Great Yarmouth.
And a 19 year-old man is missing, feared dead, after getting into difficulties in the sea off the East Sussex coast.
Rescue teams managed to pull two other swimmers from the water at Camber Sands.
