Three men have been jailed after a kilo of cocaine was seized during a drugs warrant in Westcliff.
Officers executed the warrant at an address in The Leas on Friday, July 15.
Three men were arrested and later charged with drugs offences. All three pleaded guilty and were sentenced at Basildon Crown Court on Thursday, September 8.
Ricky Lawrence, 39, a painter, of Harrier Close in Shoeburyness, was jailed for five years for being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and 18 months for money laundering. The sentences will run concurrently.
Suri Sula, 26, unemployed, of Whitton Dene in Hounslow, was jailed for three years and four months for possession with the intent to supply Class A drugs.
Scott Stillaway , 26, a director, of The Leas in Westcliff, was jailed for 15 months for permitting his premises to be used for drugs and nine months to run concurrently for possession of Class A drugs. The judge also activated a nine month suspended sentence from a previous offence to run consecutively.
Detective Inspector Ed Mayo, of the Serious and Organised Crime Unit, said: “Drugs are the scourge of our society and those that deal them target the most vulnerable people.
“This sentencing has taken drug dealers off the streets of Essex, protecting residents and keeping people safe from harm.
“Drugs cause misery to the communities and individuals affected by them, and Essex Police takes the issue very seriously.
“These sentences show we will not tolerate drug dealing and we are determined to bring anyone involved in it to justice.”
