An elderly man has died following a collision with a van in Greensleeves Drive, Warley, last month.
The 84-year-old, who has been provisionally identified by Essex Police as Eric Sparrow, sadly passed away in Queen’s Hospital in Romford on Sunday, November 27.
The collision happened shortly before 1.30pm on Saturday, November 19.
Mr Sparrow was waiting to get into a gold coloured Range Rover which was parked in Greensleeves Drive when a white Renault Master delivery van which was driving past was in collision with him. The driver of the van was a 23-year-old man from Ilford who was uninjured.
Officers are investigating the circumstances leading up to the collision and are appealing for any witnesses who have not yet already spoken to police to come forward.
