Some flights in and out of London City Airport have been rescheduled to fly to and from Southend Airport today.
An exclusion zone has been in place around London City Airport, since an unexploded World War Two bomb was found in the River Thames.
Passengers are being urged not to travel to the airport, and to contact their airline.
Several people living nearby were forced to leave their homes overnight, with local rail services suspended – and roads closed.
Southend Airport has told Radio Essex “We have received a considerable number of diverted flights in and out today due to the closure at London City Airport”
