A fresh row’s broken out on plans to increase passenger capacity at Stansted – with the airport accused of secret arrangements with Uttlesford Council.
A statement by protest group Stop Stansted Expansion suggests Manchester Airports Group – which owns the site – has paid the authority in a bid to speed through planning applications.
But the council’s strongly refuted the claim – saying it’s simply inaccurate.
The Uttlesford authority goes on to say it has a Planning Performance Agreement in place.
But – that won’t impact the application – which will still take in public consultation.
