A second person has been arrested in connection with a fatal collision in Braintree.
Police were called at around 11.20am on Saturday, May 12, to reports a blue Yamaha motorbike and a blue Subaru car had been travelling along Glebe Avenue when the motorbike was in collision with a Nissan.
The Subaru left the scene.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, died at the scene.
A 43-year-old woman, the driver of the Nissan, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and has since been released under investigation.
A 27-year old man, believed to be the driver of the Subaru, was arrested yesterday evening on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop for a collision, and failing to report a collision.
He has been released on bail until June 6.
Enquiries are ongoing, but officers are particularly looking to speak to anyone who saw the blue Subaru and blue Yamaha motorcycle prior to the collision.
