Detectives are urging anyone who believes they may have been a victim of a rapist who attacked a teenager in Thurrock more than 30 years ago to come forward.
Christopher Clark was jailed on Monday after pleading guilty to the attack in 1985 in North Stifford.
He was also charged with 13 more counts of rape and burglary with intent to rape around Essex in the eighties – including in Benfleet, Baddow and South Woodham Ferrers.
Media dubbed him the “early bird rapist” as during the offences he would watch the homes of his victims, waiting for their husbands to leave before in some cases threatening them with knives, sexually touching them and in two cases raping them.
Anyone with information should call police on 101.
