A man who sexually abused a child in Grays more than ten years ago has been jailed.
Benjamin Lisgarten admitted charges against him in court over the summer – and was sentenced earlier this week.
As well as a four year custodial sentence – he’ll be on the sex offenders register for life and the subject of an indefinite restraining order.
The abuse happened between April and October 2007.
Essex Police has praised the victim for coming forward – and reiterated that offences will always be investigated – no matter when they took place.
Meanwhile the NSPCC has described Lisgarten’s crimes as “repugnant”.
