All Radio Essex Competitions are in alinement with Radio Essex’s Competition Terms & Conditions.

Specific Rules

1.         Competition Start Date

1.1 The competition entry will open at 12:00pm 14/10/2024 till 23:59 midday 20/10/2024.

2.         Mechanic

2.1 Listeners who have entered via the website will receive a call from Martin & Su where they will be asked to determine whether a food/spice/object is an ingredient in a Pad Thai.

2.2 There will be 5 winners randomly chosen to be asked the question.

2.3 Prizes will be allocated via email.

4.         Prize

4.1 The prize as stated:

Prize Details:

Monday – Thursday Prize: Lunch time meals for two people including a complimentary drink each – lunch is between 12.00 and 15.00 Tuesdays to Sundays. Meals must be from the lunch set menu.

Friday Prize: 1 x Lunch time meals for two people including a complimentary drink each – lunch is between 12.00 and 15.00 Tuesdays to Sundays & a Pad Thai or Thai Green curry cookery class for two people. Meals must be from the lunch set menu.

The prize/tickets are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.            

Only one entry per person is permitted. We will only consider one entry per person.

4.2 To claim the prize you must be able to send us proof of ID. Failure to do so can result in Radio Essex withdrawing the prize. Radio Essex reserve the right to do this.

4.3 Winners will contacted by Radio Essex within 24 hours to discuss the next steps. Any concerns with your prize, you should contact info@radioessex.com or visit radioessex.com/claim-a-prize.

4.4 The Promoter reserves the right to modify these rules, suspend or discontinue the Prize Promotion at any time, including without limitation where it is necessary to do so due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control or if it cannot be guaranteed that the Prize Promotion can be carried out correctly for technical or legal reasons or if the Promoter suspects that any person has been manipulating the administration of the Prize Promotion or has acted unethically in any other way.

4.5 The determination and decision of the publishers of the Promoter on all matters shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

4.6 The laws of England and Wales govern these terms and conditions.

4.7 There are no cash alternatives for any prize.

            5.         Entering

5.1 You must be over 18 at the time of entry to the competition. Any entry below the age of 18 will not count but may still be charged.

5.2 You must be the bill payer or have the bill payer’s permission to enter this Radio Essex competition.

5.3 If you are an Exempt Individual (an employee, freelancer, contractor or in any way affiliated to Radio Essex or the Stockvale Group) you cannot enter. If you do enter, your entry will not count but may still be charged.

5.4 Each entrant agrees and as a condition of possibly being awarded the Prize to release and hold harmless the Prize Provider and its affiliated companies and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and insurers from and against any and all claims, causes of action and/or liability for any injuries, illness, death, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in and/or entry into the competition or receipt or possession, use or misuse of the Prize or any element thereof.

5.5 No entries from agents, third parties, organised groups or entries automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No incomplete, illegible or corrupted entries will be accepted.  Failure to comply with any of these terms and conditions (including instructions) will disqualify any entrant from taking part in the Prize Promotion and the entry will be invalid. The Promoter retains sole discretion to refuse entrants the right to enter if it feels that these terms and conditions are not being complied with or for any valid and justifiable reason.

5.6 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant and/or winner and/or amend these terms and conditions at any time in its absolute discretion.

5.7 Entrants indemnify the Promoter, its agents, employees, representatives, associates, affiliates, parent, and subsidiary companies against any and all claim, losses, costs, damages, liability and expenses arising out of the entrant’s breach of any of these terms and conditions.

5.8 Each entrant by entering this Prize Promotion expressly releases the Promoter, its affiliates, agents, employees, and directors from any claim, action, or demand arising out of or in connection with the Prize Promotion or their prize, if any.

5.9 The winner will be notified by email within 14 days of the Prize Promotion closing. The winner will be contacted using the email address provided at the time of entry. Once notified, the winner must reply within 10 days.

5.10 If the selected winner is unreachable, ineligible, disqualified, or fails to claim the prize within 10 days of notification being sent by the Promoter, that winner automatically forfeits the prize.

5.11 The Promoter’s decision in this Prize Promotion is final and legally binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

5.12 Any entry made giving another person’s (or a false) name or other dishonest information will be disqualified.

5.13 If the winner cannot or does not attend the event, Radio Essex or any party involved in the event are liable.

5.14 After three attempts of contact to come to air, you withdraw your right to receiving the prize.

            6.         Publicity and Personal Data

6.1 All personal data submitted by an entrant in connection with this Prize Promotion is submitted voluntarily. All personal data collected from entrants will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of administering the Prize Promotion and by entering this Prize Promotion, entrants’ consent to Promoter using this information to contact them in respect of the prize. 

            7.         Other Terms & Conditions

7.1 You must also comply with the Radio Essex Competition Terms & Conditions to participate in this competition.

7.2 Radio Essex will act in line with the Radio Essex Competition Terms & Conditions.

7.3 You must comply with the SoPa Thai T&C’s.
