All Radio Essex Competitions are in alinement with Radio Essex’s Competition Terms & Conditions.

Specific Rules

1.         Competition Start Date

1.1 The competition will open at 06:00 on 05/07/2023.

1.2 The competition will close at latest 10:00 on 28/08/2023.

1.3 Opening & Closing of competition can be stated on air to override these exact times.

2.         Mechanic

2.1 Listeners will be asked to text 81400 Essex (CHOSEN WORD) every week from Wednesday to be in the draw for their chance to win a Summertime Fun Prize. Each prize will have individual T&C’s.

2.2 There will be one winner chosen at random from the pool of people to be pulled to air during Monday’s Breakfast Show of the following week.

2.3 Winners must answer their phone & come to air to claim the ticket.

2.4 We reserve the right to select another entrant if you do not pick up our phone call after three attempts or if we determine the call to not of a high enough quality to broadcast.

2.5 Each prize is classed as a round. Rounds shut at 23:59 on Sundays.

3.         Prize

3.1 There will be a new prize every week of the Summertime Fun competition. This will be stated on air. Each prize will have it’s own specific T&C’s.

3.2 To claim the prize you must be able to send us proof of ID or details of a UK bank account (whichever is more suitable to the prize). Failure to do so can result in Radio Essex withdrawing the prize. Radio Essex reserve the right to do this.

3.3 Winners will be notified on the call & contacted by Radio Essex within 24 hours of first contact to discuss the next steps. Any concerns with your prize, you should contact info@radioessex.com or visit radioessex.com/claim-a-prize

3.4 You must also be in-line the prize giver’s T&C’s.

3.5 Prize Details & Constraints

Festival Leisure Park Basildon (only) – Hollywood Bowl Family game allowed for 4 people regardless of age one game of bowling each. Subject to availability. Prize must be taken before 27/09/23. No money equivalents.

Festival Leisure Park Basildon (only) - £100 Five Guys Voucher to be spent at the restaurant based on the lot in Basildon. Subject to availability. No money equivalents.

Greenwoods – 3 course meal in double rosette awarded Ellis’s restaurant with bottle of Prosecco. Prize can be taken Monday to Sunday subject to availability, no cash equivalent. Prize to be taken before December 31st, 2023. No money equivalents.

Indie Wall – Prize contains a Family Pass for 1 Adults & 2 Children. Children must be 6+ to climb. Child pricing ends at 18. One adult can supervise two children. No money equivalents. All participants must sign our waiver, which can be done in advance. Under 18s must be supervised - one adult can supervise two under 18s. The pass must be used within 6 months.

Mercury Theatre – Family of 4 ticket to ‘Unbelievable’ between dates of Friday 28^th July 2023 – Saturday 26^th August 2023. Subject to availability. no money equivalent, age restriction for the show is 9+.

Festival Leisure Park Basildon (only) – 4 Tickets to the Cineworld at Festival Leisure Park. Expires December 2023. No money equivalents.

Rossi – Meal for 4 at Rossi Ice Cream Parlour in Westcliff, with a value up to £50. Must be used by September 2023.

Marsh Farm South Woodham Ferrers – 4x Family Tickets (4 People) for Bubble & Pop event. Must be at least one adult. Voucher expires on the 3/9/23.

Colchester Zoo – 4 Person prize ‘Extra-Ordinary Full Day Experience’. What’s Included – Full Day Experience:
• Exclusive access behind the scenes for the day and close up encounters with a variety of species
• Breakfast, lunch and refreshments
• Guided by an experienced host for the day
• Complimentary entry to the zoo for the whole day
• A souvenir gift

• PRIZE: Extra-Ordinary Full Day Experience ONLY.

• Winner will be contacted by our Experiences Team to arrange their Extra-ordinary Experience.

• The Extra-ordinary Experience must be booked within 3 months of being contacted but the experience may take place after the 3 months.

• Animal Experience has no monetary value and may not be resold.

• No alternative prize to the one stated will be given and cannot be exchanged for an alternative prize or monetary value.

• We reserve the right to request ID.

• Animal Experience is not valid in conjunction with any other offer.

• The Extra-ordinary Experience must be booked within 3 months of being contacted but the experience may take place after the 3 months.

• Age restrictions apply to the Extra-ordinary Experience.

• Animal Experience is non-transferable and non-refundable.

• Animal Experience is subject to availability.

• Any personal data relating to the winner will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party.

• Standard entry terms and conditions and Animal Experience terms and conditions apply.

We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions or to cancel, alter or amend the draw or the prize due to any circumstances that arise beyond our control.

The prize draw is subject to the laws of England and Wales.

            4.         Entering

4.1 You must be over 18 at the time of entry to the competition. Any entry below the age of 18 will not count and you may be unable to claim the prize.

4.2 If you are an Exempt Individual (an employee, freelancer, contractor or in any way affiliated to Radio Essex or the Stockvale Group) you cannot enter. If you do enter, your entry will not count but may still be charged.

4.2 You are also exempt if you have an affiliation to the prize-giving company.
