TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

RULES  

The following rules (“Rules”) together with Communicorp UK ("Communicorp UK ") general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at Radioessex.com apply to London Southend Airport ("the Competition") which will run from 00.00 from 9^th February 2026 til 00.00 on 24^th February 2026 (“the Duration”). The "Radio Station" is Radio Essex.   

Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them. The Terms and Conditions are available online and on request from the Radio Station website.  

Details of the Competition:  

To enter the Competition an Entrant must go online to Radioessex.com and answer the online question and register their details.  

Online entry will open at 00.00 from 9^th February 2026 til 00.00 on 24^th February 2026. 

From correct answers, (four) contestants will be randomly selected and contacted by a member of the Radio Essex radio team, to then proceed to the next phase of the competition. 

On Friday 20th February 2026 we will pick one person to call and put them in the virtual ‘departure Lounge’.  This will be recorded on the Friday 20^th February 2026 and played out on Monday 23^rd February 2026.  Then on Monday 23^rd Feb 2026 we do the same for playout Tuesday 24^th Feb 2026. On Tuesday 24^th Feb 2026 we will do the same for Wednesday 25^th Feb 2026, and on Wednesday 25^th Feb, we will do the same for Thursday 26^th Feb 2026, until we have  4 contestants in total in the virtual departure lounge. 

If we are unsuccessful in getting hold of a contestant within 3 attempts, we will move onto another contestant to record their reaction instead.   

On Thursday 26^th February 2026, 1 of the 4 shortlisted entrants will be called and announced as the overall winner and played out on the Breakfast show on Friday 27^th February 2026.  The 3 RUNNERS UP will receive £100 cash.  

Eligibility:  

• Entry is restricted to people aged 18 or older.   
• Entry is restricted to one entry per person; duplicate entries will be removed. 
• Entrants must reside within one of the following postcode districts:

Your data will be deleted from our system 12 months after the competition end date.  

Main Prize:   

1,000 holiday credit, paid-for and provided by London Southend Airport. The winner must redeem the credit by booking through Hays Travel Southend either by phone or in-person. Can use the £1,000 credit for a holiday of their choice from any of our 25 easyJet destinations.

One winning entrant will receive £1,000 Hays Travel Southend credit to redeem against a holiday of their choice from London Southend Airport only.  

The winner will be contacted directly by London Southend Airport to arrange delivery of the holiday credit. Once received, the winner may contact Hays Travel Southend before 31/06/26 to redeem the voucher and make a booking before the travel expiry date. Proof of identity may be required when redeeming the voucher.  

Holiday credit must be redeemed against one booking of easyJet flights or easyJet holiday package to one of London Southend Airports’ destinations. Holiday bookings must be made by 31st May 2026. 

There are no limitations on how many people can travel. If the total cost of the winner’s chosen holiday exceeds the £1,000 holiday credit, the winner will be responsible for paying any additional amount beyond the voucher value. 

The holiday voucher can only be used for one booking. The voucher cannot be exchanged for cash, used to purchase other gift cards, or applied to existing bookings. It must be used towards a new travel booking. 

The winner of the competition must be one of the named travellers on the booking in order to redeem the holiday voucher. 

Prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Standard London Southend Airport Competition T&Cs apply. 

The credit can be used towards any travel-related arrangements booked through Hays Travel Southend, including package holidays, flights, accommodation, seat reservations, and baggage upgrades, up to a total value of £1,000. If the total cost is less than the voucher value, the remaining balance is non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. 

We reserve the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater value at our absolute discretion. 

Winner must contact Hays Travel Southend by phone (01702 662799) or in person at 63 High St, Southend-on-Sea SS1 1HZ to redeem their voucher credit – proof of identity may be required.
